I like your concept of an inner divinity and but why I attribute it to an external source is because it doesn't explain for me those people that hurt others on purpose. It also comforts me that there's someone I can call for help.... btw I don't find your ideas fantastical at all, I think your posts are well thought out. I also like what you said...limitless worlds...I do think there are multiple dimensions... Have you ever experience visitations in dreams?...
For me awareness and consciousness are closely related if not identical, but I might be seeing why you say that. However for me, the divine source is not without but within. I've seen that it's within everyone, and everything, in fact, down to the very cells of everything living. I know that's fantastical to a lot of people, and it's evoked a certain hostility in many and for that reason I've withdrawn a great deal from the threads. I do also believe in spirits and souls, and a spiritual world, in fact limitless worlds - or maybe only one, that is boundless and infinite.
I like what you said and I agree totally, experience of divinity is entirely personal and need not be defended. It doesn't require proof, the proof is in ourselves. But its not divine consciousness for me, it's divine awareness and the source is external... I mean, the sense of spirituality is within us but yet I can point to a divine source outside of myself. I also believe in souls and spirits, a very rich world with no physical base but it's there...
If you experience the divine consciousness, then you know what it is like to feel it on every level of your self. And experiencing the divine consciousness as yourself, this is like knowing it, in a way which is indescribably actually knowing it, which none of my past experiences had actually let me know what things really are. Because, behind all forms is an endless evolution, in other words, a self-evolution of the essence, or source, of everything; or in other words, the essence of all forms is a divinity. The experience of the divine is quite a unique experience. It need not be defended even... it's an individual and personal thing.. the most inward experience of any.
That's cool. My similar beginnings began 4-5 years ago. One thing which passed my mind, which I'm glad to have the chance to share... a worded perspective on my experiences... a way to describe my paradigm perhaps. In my life, which is now focused on a lot of different things, my interest for them on the increase, and my enthusiasm, optimism, and contentment on the increase as well, I would describe my past experiences of divinity in the following way. I am not of a like mind of those who question, and talk, and debate, and share. Of course I have done all these, countless times, and studied those minds I've felt called to. But my experience of divinity I can explain as follows: it's not a question of wondering, speculating, on a certain level, a certain state of consciousness.
I was never religious growing up yet strangely a lack of divinity always bothered me. My sense of spirituality intensified back 3 years, the beginning of a series of losses, and I started having experiences that point to another world...
Oh, absolutely! We're organic life, after all, not machines. I remember reading a lecture spanning 3 days which Alan Watts gave... in which he talked about different myths that we go by... one of them being, as he called it, the "ceramic model." But it's not the complete picture to say we're machines, it rather ignores love, art, beauty... I never had much of a spiritual life but over the last 5 years I've gradually geared into some semblance of spirituality. At different times over those 5 years I've had some pretty incredible experiences, the most of which was a feeling of really being at one with the universe. Now I just live trying to have good energies in my life, good health and also do things which are fun and/or intellectually rewarding... etc.. as well as spiritually rewarding (if possible). Well I've got more to say about it and I probably missed the main topics but there's a strict restriction on these messages..
hi! I was trying to gather my thoughts then got distracted. So this is what I'm thinking, incorporating what you mentioned before. Your video brought up the idea of consciousness and thoughts, while I'm also thinking along those lines, our soul. These are entities that have no physical properties, but they're what make us individuals, otherwise we're all just walking mechanical parts made of skin, flesh and bones. I think its a mistake for those who insist that if something doesn't have a physical presence, than it doesn't exist. And the greatest irony is, physicists themselves know that their physics can't explain the origin of physical matter, and physics doesn't exclude the spiritual world. Some are trying to use physics to make connection to God. I myself have personal experiences that couldn't be explained by the law of physics, so I'm a firm believer that there's more to it than a physical world and not everything we encounter has physical properties.
Cool. How did you know I was leaving just now? Oh well, Goodnight!
Thanks for the friending I have more thoughts on the subject, I'll get back to you soon. Goodnight!
