  1. I'm good, but tired, SilentMute. I'm going to have a little time in the coming week, so I'll come back and fill you in a little later.

    How are you?
  2. Hi! Hope you are well!
  3. Thanks! Hope you had a good Valentine's Day. I'm going crazy! Everything that is going wrong is! I'm trying to register for college, but I need two proofs I'm a Florida resident. I only have one. Then my gmail account got hacked, and someone is sending spam under my name. I'm trying to fix that. But my favorite TV show is on tonight, and it looks like it is going to be a good one. So, that makes me happy...and the other stuff will be sorted out somehow. :/ Hope life is going well with you.
  4. Sending a random hello! I hope you are well!
  5. Thanks! An A.A. is Associates of Arts degree. There are not many jobs really that ask for it. It is better to have a Bachelor's. An A.A. is what you get before you get a Bachelor's degree, but some people don't bother and just get the Bachelor's. Many coding jobs are asking for an A.A. though. As for the picture, yes--I'm pleased with it even if I didn't win the contest. It was the first picture I started experimenting with, and I liked the results. It occurred to me that many colors have a faint color underneath. You see mostly blue--but then you see a hint of gray. While it is difficult to do with colored pencil, I'm starting to put down underlying colors first before the major color. I'm reading Girl with a Pearl Earring--and I was interested to learn that Vermeer did the same thing. Of course, it is easier with paint than colored pencil.
  6. Hello SilentMute. I'm sorry to hear that you were down with the flu. I haven't gotten the flu in years, and I'm delighted about that!

I liked your picture a lot. I thought you did a really good job with it, and you should be proud of yourself. I enjoy collages myself. I would like to think that the people involved would have given your picture serious consideration. Actually I think it would make a nice advertisement for the game.

What is A.A.? And good luck with math. I was never good at it either. If you find you are really having trouble with it most colleges offer tutoring and I would take them up on it.

    Take care and be well.

    Qimissung
  7. Hi! I hope you are well! I am finally over the flu and trying to get back to my studies, but it is hard after a month of illness. I have decided to go back and get my A.A. if I can get financial aide, since I am only nine credits from getting it (though six are math, which I suck at). I didn't win my art contest, but my submission does get shown with all the others on YouTube--which is neat. I took a risk doing a collage because the person wanted us to do ONE scene from ONE game--and I did many scenes from two games. That may have cost me the competition. Of course, another thing is that I think they were looking for a general theme that represents the game, where I did a specific one--focusing on one storyline. Anyway, I'm still proud of my submission. There was a short story contest, but I'm a little contest out--and besides, I am trying to get back on track with my studies.
  8. Thanks for the link, SilentMute. Your picture is beautiful. Good luck. I hope you win. What is the video game, may I ask? A papermaking contest? That is so cool. I have been planning to learn how to do that next summer. Are they having one now???
  9. I'm entering an art contest for one of my favorite video games (one thing I like about this video game is that it does inspire creativity because there are contests in writing, drawing, paper making, and even sewing! I had already won a free game download by winning a haiku contest several months ago). This is the picture I drew for the contest: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...00000782026924 I'm proud of it even if I don't win--it is my best fan art picture to date. Now I plan to concentrate on drawin a scene that one would expect to see in that wonderful link you sent me.
