Lol, thanks. I'm sorry if they have been giving you a hard time. Makes me think of when I was a pain.
I have two teen-age sons, neither one, I think, is as well-adjusted as you. Need I say more?
Hey, I can't sleep either. Lol. What's up?
Hey Daniel. I can't sleep. What's your excuse?
Thank You for that. I love not having to wonder which translation to get.
Like I said, I am still stunned by my discovery of him last night. This truly feels like the first time I've read Hamlet or the first time I read The Book of Job or The Waste Land, it's like a great epiphany! Coleman Barks is the translation to go for. That said, Rumi is so great, that he reads well in any translation.
And thank you! I am quite smitten with what I've done here. Thank you for noticing. At first it wasn't coming together very well. Janine helped me with the colors, and Scher helped me figure out how to do the albums so I could use the pictures here and in my blog. I found the picture of the ocean and I LOVE it. So, thanks!
Hey, DB, I posted a link to that poem in your blog. Isn't it gorgeous? I loved your blog entry. Sometimes you read something and it just hits you in the face. Like a wave of shockingly cold water. Yes, I like Rumi a lot. Now I need to get a book of his poems. That would help in my enjoyment of him, don't you think?
Btw, I LOVE you new profile layout. The mermaid profile pic and the waves just go together like music.
Oh I just loved the Rumi poem you posted in the PrinceMyshkin birthday thread! He's one of your favorites? Oh I am still escatic over my discovery of him.
