  1. Indeed, i'm interested, thanks for suggesting it to me I dont own persuasion for the moment but i'll wait until you discuss sense & sensibility.
Life is good! I'm going to college soon! I'm so excited! I had been wanting to write but i cant find the time...not good hehe. Have you ever read Little Women? that's what i'm currently reading
Tell me, How is life over there? How is the teaching?
Hope you have a wonderful day! c a soon
  2. Hey Walker, I wondered if you would be interested in the Jane Austen Book Club? They (and me) are reading all her novels this year, one about every three months, I think. Here is the thread, anyway, if you'd like to take a look.

How's life? What are you reading and writing now? Take care.
  3. oh you're welcome. I thought I friend you long time ago hehe
  4. Hello Walker. Thank you for the friend request.
  5. Hey Walker. I remember playing school with my sister when I was young and I actually planned to major in education when I went off to school. I later switched to journalism, and that's what I got my degree in. I wasn't very happy in school in junior high and high school. I was very shy. Looking back I did not feel that I had teachers who had reached out to me. It wasn't until after the birth of my oldest child (now 24!) that I decided to go back and get my education hours.

I think I'm a pretty good teacher and I'm glad I did it. Didn't I read on that same thread that you are/were homeschooled? And also that your learning Russian? I'm trying to learn French, but I haven't been studying lately.
  6. hi qimissung, i just read your post in the homeschooling thread...did you always want to be a teacher? what inspired you to be one?
  7. ok good to know hehe
btw, i liked the school where you work! it seems suh a cool place.
  8. lol. female-a relatively old(er) female, too!
  9. oh that sounds so cool! i love kids; i get along with them pretty well. Teaching english to kids as a second language should not be easy and it is indeed an important job in the way i see it.
Yeah, usually most kids doesnt like to read i guess; that is a shame, but i guess they learn if they 'take' the habit.
can i ask you a question? are you male or female? i really cant tell hehe
have a great day! talk to you soon
  10. I like teaching. I teach at a high school in Dallas, Texas:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Dallas_High_School

I have taught 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grades. I am certified to teach English as a Second Language and English/Language Arts. Teaching ESL means I teach kids who have only recently come tho this country, and their first language is not English. Most recently I have taught freshman English. Next year I'm supposed to teach English II (10th grade) and English II Pre-AP. They change things over the summer, so I hope when I get back in the fall, that's still what I'll be teaching!

The only thing that is not entirely satisfactory is that most of the kids I work with don't really like reading.
