Nice to see you too LOL! Thanks!
Lovely new picture of yourself, Sophia. Nice to see you .
Oh, do I wish... (I could be a 30ish gramma - right? Nah). That's very kind of you to say. Hopefully, you'll still think of me with the mind of a 30 year old. Some say I've preserved pretty well...LOL
Oh my. I didn't know you were a grandma (from Wisp's blog). I pictured you in your thirties.
Hi Virgil! Thanks, I'll try to look it up and see if we can do something to help from here!
Hi Sophia. You asked me a week or two ago which orphanage my friend helped out with on her mission to Haiti. I had lunch with her again today and I think she said The House of Hope.
It's why I sometimes workshop elsewhere. I don't often change the poem I submit but, I keep their comments in mind when writing a new one. No, I don't think I'll be going to school to learn to write any time soon. I don't think I'll ever be publishable or anything like that. It's just something I now really enjoy doing.
That's incredible. Perhaps you shoudn't learn writing. I can't believe you've only been writing for a year and a half. That is amazing.
LOL... no, I was on my own by 15. Graduated the school of hard knocks by 17 and had to grow up very quickly. In truth, I've only been writing for about a year and a half. Fell in love for a short time with a poet and he said I should try it. I've always had a love affair with words so, I did. I am very much still honing and learning. I have no idea what all the technical terms are but some people seem to like what I write. I started painting about 20 years ago and after several years of self-teaching thought I should take a few classes. The teacher refused to enroll me saying he would only spoil my style. I still wish I could have had the whole "college" experience though. It's something I don't really share with a lot of the people I know. They have a lot of stories and I can only share my street smarts.
Oh my goodness. You never went to college Sophia? How did you learn to be such a wonderful writer? Not that one needs to go to college to learn how to write, but I think it orients a person to write and to make them appreciate good writing. I am so impressed. Actually perhaps I shouldn't rush to my conclusion. College has a way of destroying creativity. Perhaps you were saved by not going.
