  1. Scones!!!!
    Sandwiches!!!!
hmmm.... yummy, yummy, says my belly

Oh sure, in a two-week detention at home you can really forget what life is actually made of...

I found a book about basic drawing techniques I wish I could learn. Do you believe that anyone can learn to draw? Can you?
  2. My day was good thank you.

I had some family round, so I had to frantically run to the bakery for some scones and bread for the sandwiches.

I'm so excited. I'm going out tonight with my friends for the first time in nearly 2 weeks, now they're all back from their festival. I've honestly forgotten what outside feels like, haha.

    How are you doing?
  3. Thank you for the recipe
Says my belly: It looks yummy and I'm already feeling hungry

    How was your day?
  4. Oh, well it's certainly not my recipe... and it's nothing too exotic I'm afraid
Just a simple Caesar salad, consisting of:

    Chicken breast
    Romaine lettuce
    Grated Parmesan cheese
Croutons (you can make your own, but I'm lazy and buy them ready prepared)
    Crispy bacon
And of course you can make your own dressing, but again I took a short cut and bought some regular Caesar dressing from the shops.

The lady in my avatar is a 1960's socialite; one of Andy Warhol's superstars - Edie Sedgwick.
  5. My mum heard a strange noise today.... IT WAS MY DVD RECORDER (it's very noisy )

I've been wondering, given the distance between us, and my curiosity... would you share your chicken salad recipe with me? I promise to give full credit and not to infringe any copyright

Sorry for my ignorance... who's your avatar lady?
  6. Haha, yes we are pretty close. I didn't realise just how much until this past week when she's been away.

You're fortunate, you must sleep quite easily in your house with it being free from ghosts, creeks and all.

Haha, I think I could definitely win you over with a chicken salad - mine are rather tasty.
Yes, we are somewhat distanced aren't we?

No we have no relatives over there; they've just fallen in love with a particular spot. We do travel to different places, but we always wind up back there. It's too beautiful.
  7. Hmm... uh, huh! I detect a tight knot between mum and daughter. Same here. The other day my mum took me shopping, to buy me some new clothes and shoes. I'm not very good for combining colours, assessing quality and whatnot, so I let her do that part of the job. What I do by myself is to judge the final equipment, what I can do, but where I'm really lost is with picking the individual parts. And now that I have a magnificent pair of new shoes I could kick some ghosts out of home... in case my house had any... which is not the case... my house is not even halfway noisy as yours, so I'll have to kick something else

See what we get for living in different continents? If we lived in the same place I would look after you for free... well... not so free... I would charge you with... A CHICKEN SALAD

The family likes Spain a lot. Relatives there by any chance?
  8. Haha, well I refer to my male friends as 'chaps', 'pals' and on occasion, 'chuck.'

I have tried to avoid staying on my own as much as possible though inviting people over... alas, I shall have to conquer my fears and learn to brave the night on my lonesome.

It has always been a little creaky... but I never noticed it much until I slept here on my own. I think my imagination certainly enhances such random noises though.

I now regret not going on holiday with my family... I'm rather bored and I didn't realise how much I would miss my mum.

They've gone to Menorca by the way.

I should hire someone to come and look after me, haha.
  9. Chicken salad... yummy, yummy... dish it out now! I'm hungry, feed me!

Oh sure, a great cast, a great story, and very touching. Try to get it.

Where has your family gone on vacation, if I may ask?

I'm doing more or less fine, and I'm beginning to wonder about that terrifying house of yours. Tell me, has it always been that way? Always noisy, or you're really sure it's your imagination?
  10. Thank you so much. Your opinion is highly valuable for this humble... what would I be? ... a guy, a chap, a bird... Nah, I'm no bird! ... MY MOM WOULD SHOOT ME DEAD IF I AM

I am very satisfied with the ongoing events concerning that poll of mine. I inadvertently started a thread that has become a space for ladies to express their most intimate feelings about the way men treat them. I don't really know how in the world I came up with such a wondrous idea for a poll. It must have been the poll faerie speaking to me in dreams In any case, I am beginning to feel useful and it makes me happy

So your house is making noises, uh? hmm... you should check the closet... ghosts and related spirits often find their way through closets. And you should check under your bed too... and even in the fridge (they may be hungry) And perhaps it would be very wise to hire The Ghost Busters .... who's having an overactive imagination now?
