  1. Well your sister is invited to out get together.
  2. I had to go and make food! all this talking made me hungry!
  3. the cake shop/ bakery on the same side of the street as Elizabeths. My sister is pally with the son. Oh my god they are so yummy the cakes and pastries!
  4. Good thing I have already had dinner or remembering all of that I was be hungry. I can not remember the name but there is a lovely pastry place there as well. I am bad with names - faces and places OK, names hopeless.
  5. Dont get me started about the food! Thai Potthong (sp?) is so nice! its the one with the figurines from Alien v Preditor in the window. Kellys does really nice pub grub, their chips and gravy is so good! Luckys pizza is gone (one of the guys got stabbed back in september when i was there) There are a few yummy chineses but cant remember their names an then in the deli by Franklins they doe these really yoummy rice arancinos(?) and i was always getting them. the chicken, mushroom and leak one and they will heat it up for you there.
    I miss newtown.
  6. I am in a book club and we take a trip up there every few months and I still don't think I have been through them all properly. I could spend all day in the book shops alone - but then you have the food and the coffee there really ought to be a law of some sort don't you think. If I had to live somewhere else here in Australia it would be there.
  7. I found newtown very relaxed and laid back in comparison to the rest of the city.
And dont get me started about Goulds bookshop on king st! holy crap! I would have needed well over a month to look through that place properly! and Elizabeths was nice. I loved how they had the sign outside with a different quote every few days. And i liked books on king because they had a good bit of Irish authors so my sister was able to get Roddy Doyles Barrytown Trilogy (barrytown in a ficticious name but its actually my townland in dublin where the author was once a teacher)
  8. Newtown has some great second hand book shops it is one of my favorite places. I live in Wollongong which is about 1 1/2 south os Sydney. I love Sydney but I couldn't live there I am to use to the pace here in the Gong. It is great living here because we are not to far away.
  9. Sydney is such a great place! I stayed with family in Newtown, which was one of the best places evr!
  10. 26th Jan is Australia Day that is also my mums birthday - she gets fireworks every year. We have a long weekend this weekend so we are taking mum to Sydney for the weekend as her present. She is so excited.
