Not just batteries!!! Sulfuric acid is used as a catalyst or intermediate in tons of normal items, it's also used in water treatment, oil refining, pulp and paper, and fertilizers.
Ah, I never saw the Rocky Mountain Horror show but I had a friend or two who were fanatics about it. Really. Sulferuric acid is the largest produced chemical in the world? that's surprising. Is it for batteries?
