I had two Irish visas before and all of them were only for one time entry only. I'm only allow to apply multiple entry visa if I had been in Eire for at least 3 times (funny immigration rule).

yeah i can get fairly cheap flights to the states. I have intentions of going to the states sometime next year all depending on work and savings etc. I'd love to do it. But like you said, it would have to be serious.
