Conversation Between Heathcliff and Maximilianus

  1. I think I saw the first Godzilla movie but I can't really remember much. I used to watch some old movies when they were frequently broadcasted by the only TV channel we had here at that time (I was a child back then). After a while they lost the habit for classics, and I never got them somewhere else, mostly due to being possessed by the new offers of the growing modern movie industry, so I kind of lost contact with the classics.

I have seen the fashion industry taking us back to the old days... our classics, or I should say, our prehistory as a species, when people barely wore almost nothing

    Beware of the bushfires
  2. Usually I like the older movies, although the special effects are good these days. I'm thinking of the first Godzilla, it seems so primitive, have you seen it? The Time Machine, probably the best part, as far as I'm concerned, is when he travels fowards for the first time and his machine is in front of the clothing shops and the skirts are shorter and shorter with the time passing. Just goes to show the progress we've made. It is really hot here. Ridiculous a few days ago. We're all on bushfire alert. Nothing has happened close to home yet, although it is still a threat.
  3. Actually I never saw the old movie either, which is rather normal for me, because I'm not much into old movies with all due respect for them. Oh yes, the weather is changing and, for the worse, much unstoppably.
  4. I've seen the more modern movie, not the old one. The environment around me has changed dramatically. On the bright side, you'd only have to wait a minute if you don't like the weather and it is most likely to change.
  5. The Time machine, yes, I remember. I think it could be something like that. I guess climate has to to with evolution of species, though I haven't seen much in ours (we're pretty much the same as our most ancient ancestors, except for a few visible changes, I think).
  6. Well, I don't think they'd be human, exactly. Perhaps they'd have adapted to the climate. Like in this movie called The Time Machine where the human race, apart from those underground, would all be wiped out. Those underground mutilated a little and becamea different species.

    Could happen.
  7. Well, we know not, because we never went. Probably there's a whole unknown realm, though if there is, and if someone dwells down there, they must have a very good heat isolation system. I'm thinking already too.
  8. Well, it could start with an inflatabe pool toy and then... Yes, I'm thinking already.

I don't know why going to the centre of the Earth would be all that glamorous. Even if you didn't suffer from the burning liquids or run out of oxygen, there isn't all that much else down there.
  9. Not yet, but if someone ever invents it I may really want to buy me one for myself
  10. Ooh, I've got to make that.

Say... You wouldn't happen to have an oversized, inflatable shovel, would you?
