And how's my favorite Finn today?
At least I now know what was going on with lady Finland being so absent I can now go to sleep peacefully knowing you're okay
She's been very busy indeed, last night she only slept for 2.5 hours because of a translation she had to work on for half of the night and at the moment she's in a library, working. I got work for three days (would have got four shifts, but I can't make it on Saturday), so I'm extra busy with schoolwork as I don't have as much time for it as I thought I'd have (and even then I thought I'm going to be in trouble with it...) Just couldn't say no, as I haven't had much work lately and I can't afford to turn many job offers down because if I do, I doubt they'll keep asking me. I'll return to our conversation once I've got the time, possibly on the weekend I just dropped in to say hi and that I'm still alive and haven't forgotten LitNet
Annie Valkyrie must be having a busy week, the dolphin quoted The dolphin has sent her the first two out of three PM replies that he owes. So sorry for his belatedness, he says. He'll write the third reply as soon as possible, since he's having a tougher than expected week and he doesn't want to write a load of senseless palaver, since the lady is entitled to a conscientious analysis of her every paragraph
My mother says that education was much better at her time in school. Many attribute a systematic killing of education to the various military coups that took place in the seventies, because the military leaders found much more convenience in having uncultivated citizens that could be easily convinced and controlled by propaganda. So many years have passed since then, and there seems to be nothing like a permanent solution. What else to say... people here waste a good amount of time debating and yelling, and reaching no strong agreement about fundamental matters Other than that, whenever I find a dolFinn, you'll be the first to know I think I can tell a dolFinn from a dolphin As I've always said, ladies were better designed and built. You are multipurpose specimens of an advanced kind in any field I often wonder where you came from, and I have no clue at all What a mystery!
Well then, since I'm willing to clean and wash dishes... who of you will cook for me first? I am ashamed to say that our educational system is a royal mess, too far away from yours, with only very few exceptions. I think the main problem is that we have no system at all. Schools teach what they see fit, according to a certain specialized field. For example, when I was at secondary school I had classes about carpentry and electricity, among others, but only because it was a technical school. However, when I had problems with math (a science that should be a strength for a technical school) I often had to run for help outside the institution. Most of my schoolmates didn't even care, but since I wanted to get something out of my invested time, it was a conflict for me, and I wanted to pass exams, while for them it was exactly the same whether they passed them or not. It's a problematic situation mostly when you care.
Okay, I'll let you believe whatever you wish I've sometimes discussed this topic with my girlfriends and most agree that they wouldn't mind being in charge of cooking if the man was willing and capable of doing the dishes and cleaning the apartment It's good that we get to learn so much at school, as it seems some parents never bother to teach things to their children themselves We do have a broad range of subjects at school, for example I studied 18 subjects in upper secondary school (at the age of 16-18) and took matriculation examinations in 7 subjects. What is the education like around there? Haha If you ever find a dolFinn, take a picture and let me know Perhaps they would even get over their aversion of physical contact after a couple of years' friendship Oh, I'm flattered Too bad men usually aren't that good at multi-tasking
Now, it seems that Finns are taught everything at school, which tells me you must have a much more exquisite method to make your bed... compared to mine, which is not scientific at all Mayhap a dolphin would refrain from the cold, but if I found a dolFinn, I could perhaps get myself a peaceful voyage on dolFinn back However, such form of transportation would require physical contact, which would represent a major conflict for a dolFinn PS: I have decided to place you at the same rank my mom is at. The problem is that I can't find a way to be a multitasking son/friend I should probably have my microchip changed for a dual core
Hmm... I don't think you are where you are just by mere luck... please allow me to believe you have the talent... please, please, please! I'm near good at domestic science. I can make beds and clean (though lately I've become quite untidy ). I wash the dishes and I can prepare a fried egg but I CAN'T COOK! My mom taught me domestic science when I was tiny, but she hasn't taught me about cooking because she says that if she does I would be immediately taken as the family's official cook (a post traditionally hers, unwillingly since she hates cooking, though she's an awesome cook... by obligation). Other than my cooking inabilities, don't you think I'm very near to become a perfect prospect of a husband? (with all due humility )
A social life with a group of people with whom I've got something in common would be nice But maybe that's too much to ask. I used to have a couple of good friends, so I do believe it's possible. Dolphins are nice, I'm sure they'll keep you company Though I don't believe they'll follow you all the way to the cold waters of the nort... Or perhaps you can try to persuade them to follow you, a bunch of Dolphins in the Gulf of Finland would be a great sight
