  1. I was planning to go back and read it again, sometimes it allows me that space to see the poem better. I've mentioned "poem" a number of times in my own work, so I sort of got a sense what you were trying to do planting it in the middle of all that high lyricism. I wouldn't change it at all---I think it's served you damn well. There are more marshmallow clouds to be swirled on our sticks.
  2. As always, thanks for the thoughtful comments on my poem. I'm not sure how much chaning I'll do to this one. I do agree on that line starting with "poetry" though.
  3. Eh my World Light poem is turning out like hell. It's usually the case when I try taking on something grandiose like writing 4-5 pages. I put it aside for now, maybe tomorrow. Thanks.
  4. ah good.

actually what confused me was the "children" part of the message you sent me. I wondered if there was signifance of that part.

hope you post some of your long poem.
  5. Ahh, I just saw a poem from the maestro. on my way to crit it right now.
  6. I have started to write the biggest poem of my writing life on the subject. I have a working title right now, don't know if I'll change it, called,
We Are The World Light Generation.

I can only hope that by the time I'm dead it will be compared to Howl and Songs of Myself.

Now if you'd only be so generous to send me some of your John Keats-y flair and flare, I'd much appreciate it.
  7. Wait, how are we the children of the World Light Generation?
  8. Oh and by the way I was wondering if you happened to drop out of that English teaching program so that you'll become a Dharma bum with me. I kinda have a hunch that the next generation of great poets is going to be born right here, it's already happening right under our noses. It's going to be the generation that defies borders, politics and goes beyond social and cultural definition. We are the children of the World Light Generation. I'll explain all that another time. I know it's a lot to take in, you'll just have to trust me on this one. Find your writing pen, it's pointing to infinity.
  9. It's just to keep the blog from public viewing on internet. ---What happens in litnet stays in litnet. Just shoot me a friend invite that'll do it. Hey I'm hoping to compile all my poems onto this blog as never before---empty out all my marble notebooks too, the good the bad and the ugly. Looking forward to seeing your work too and playing some haiku as well. Be well friend.
  10. Me! ha. Good to see yoouu back.

What's the deal with your blog? I apparently don't have the status to view it.
