  1. Thank you beyond words, Billl. I will send you a message later on, to tell you more about the reasons why I want to translate from Chinese to English. I am reading some articles about baseball, in an attempt to write another short biography well. To translate requires me to learn in English. It is not difficult to express ideas in English after I understand the original Chinese text.
  2. Billl, thank you.
  3. Thank you anyway, Billl.
  4. so the boss did not want to give me a corrected version this time. not one to be compared with.
  5. You did quite well--much better than the samples that you sent me of what the other translator had done.
  6. Billl, was it translated well?
  7. About "conform", I can't say for sure about the particular translation. I saw you had mentioned it, and I wrote something about it earlier tonight.
  8. Billl, below is very logical on its context, whereas to conform to makes no sense. It is impossible for all teas to have the same quality, but what happens in reality is people set up a standard, by which they disallow teas having chemicals above it to enter the market. conform is an example of one of those word for word translation. What do you think?
  9. I think the ideas for editing/correcting I sent in my last message are pretty representative. You did quite well--much better than the samples that you sent me of what the other translator had done--with some things to try and re-word here and there. The sort of things that probably come with experience.
  10. Did I do a good work? Virginia
