To read for a few hours before I translate can always lead me faster through my work. I can often translate better after reading some chapters from a novel, sth not related to the work. best wishes, Virginia
Neely, you don't want to answer my message? Did I write anything that had offended you?

Hope I will not get into trouble with those translation companies if I read stream of consciousness writers more. I really love reading one of them. It will be a challenge if I am asked someday, to explain grammar in a stream of conciousness sentence, perhaps written by me.
Yes you are correct, in many respects the stream of consciousness style of writing breaks the standard rules of English. It can make interesting reading, I am particularly fond of Woolf though she is not easy, however it is not a good model for standard English of course. Steam of conscious is a relatively rare and often difficult form of English. I didn't know Emily Dickinson created commas of different shapes, that's interesting, but that sort of rule breaking is common with the stream of consciousness style.
Neely, I enjoy reading some writers who write in a stream of consciousness style. In one of these books, the writer uses more commas to make the sentences flow more naturally. I found more commas in my work. I think as far as this situation is concerned, grammar does not count. What do you think? Emily Dickinson even created commas of different shapes, and added some of those in her poems. Grammar? not needed in these situations.
Hi, yes that's fine, though you can drop the "from" so "No matter which angle..." Good stuff.
Neely, is this sentence well written? "No matter from which angle you perceive him, either from an angle of academic development, or from one of contribution to studies, Hua Cheng Wang has always been considered a typical figure of the Politics Department of National Tsing Hua University, worthy of praise and remembrance since the days long gone by. " Neely, works fly to me. I am quite glad.
Oh it sounds like you are not having a good time of it. Yes I can have a look through your work but it will have to be a little later on. Not having a good day myself.
