Stopping by to say hello. I believe I know why your comments aren't showing up at my end. When you respond, be sure to click on my name in the bar adjacent to my avatar. Don't use the message box at the top. Regards, Gilliatt
Now I have a mystery on my hands. I noticed you visited my profile page, so I thought I would pay you another visit and I see you had posted a comment to me but it shows up on your page below but not on mine. You may want to look into your comment posting method. I will check one more time at my end. Regradless, I didn't want you to think I was ignoring your comments. Now to answer your question; I have not read "The Adolescent". In fact I have to admit that I was not aware of it. I will add that to my future read to do list! I took a closer look at the Toilers of the Sea picture and I believe it was actually created either by copper engraving or lithograph. Regards, Gilliatt
Three Sparrows, Gilliatt here to introduce myself. You are quite right about my fondness for Toilers of the Sea. I believe that was the first "classic" literature book I read when I was in my early teens. The copy I read and now own, was my Grandfather's (copyrighted in 1866). I have since purchased a new one so as to preserve my Grandfather's. My avatar is a photo I took from the book's frontispiece. By the way, I just finished The Brothers Karamazov. I posted a brief review comment under the Dostoevsky / Authors page. Gilliatt
