I can't find you on the site. Too many Michaels! It would probably be easier if you just searched my name and then selected the "people" tab as I think I'm the only one who would pop up. username: ElizabethErina
I won't tell if you promise to share with me
Why Elizabeth!...I'm shocked that you could think such a thing! Having said that...yes, although very few and far between these days. Now that you've brought it up I could just do with a toke on a nice joint now!
Michael, might I infer from your word association post, that you have, or have had, a recreational habit?
Thanks for the ‘Secular Humanism’ website Elizabeth. I’ve never really put a label on myself, but the description on your thread seemed to sum up my own beliefs so I’ll enjoy checking out that site. I hope you’re over the worst of the flu you caught earlier and are feeling better now. By the way, you mentioned that the park near you was good for climbing…done any? P.S: I love what you've done on your page here. I haven't got a clue where to begin!

I used to read Chandler's novels when I was about your age Elizabeth and agree with you that Bogart is the perfect actor to play the roll of a private eye in that film genre. If you liked 'Casablanca' you really should watch 'To Have and to Have Not' with Bogart and Bacall, it's based on a short story by Hemmingway and I think Faulkner did the screenplay! It’s also the film set on which Bogart and Bacall met and fell in love. It’s one of my favourite movies and the dialogue and interaction between the two is awesome. As for Raymond Chandler on film, I found the following review of 'The Big Sleep': “Private eye Philip Marlowe, hired to protect a young woman from her own indiscretions, falls in love with her older sister while uncovering murders galore. A dense, chaotic thriller that succeeded in defining and setting a standard for its genre. The very best Raymond Chandler on film combining a witty script with great performances, especially from Bogart and Bacall.” By the way…I hope you have a great Mothers Day!
Thanks for the suggestion I'll check it out! I was never to into the whole detective thing...well except for Arthur Conan Doyle's work. I was obsessed with everything Sherlock Holmes from the ages of 10-14. But after reading the Maltese Falcon I may well give the genre a good try. The only movie with Humphrey Bogart that I've ever seen in its entirety is Casablanca (one of my favorite movies of all time). I might end up becoming a big fan of his
I read your post in the Bloke's thread (though I haven't posted there myself yet) and got a good laugh out of it. Anyway I hope you have a great day See ya around the forums! -Elizabeth
