Oops! Bad correspondant Carly! BAD! Sorry, I just realised that I hadn't replied to your message. Ugh! I hate when good things turn bad, it's usually inevitable, but still surprises me. Everyone migrates to where the money is eventually. They replaced NYCC with a song called When It Started. I've never actually heard the replacement song
NME is a music magazine here in england and it has now expanded to TV and radio. The magazine used to be really good but now has gone downhill focusing more on dance music and stuff like that. I didn't know Strokes had taken New York City Cops off the album after 9/11. An interesting fact. Quite appropriate as well
I'm a sucker for Someday The album as a whole is fantastic to listen to, there isn't one song that I don't like. New York City Cops is amazing, they removed that from the album after 9-11 didn't they? Sorry to sound ignorant, but what is NME? They are still pretty unknown in Australia, I've heard their songs played on one radio station. But then, I don't listen to the other stations much. Were they playing songs from their You and I album? That's another great one.
Yes 'is this it' is also one of my favourite albums. New York City Cops is my favourite song off that album, how about you? Yeah i saw Cut Off Your Hands when they were virtually unknown and then the next week their single was on NME.
I am sooo jealous! I haven't seen Cut Off Your Hands play live yet. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for when they tour nearby. The Strokes' Is This It is one of my all time favourite albums.
I saw cut off your hands live in norwich. And i also love the strokes
