Hmm, its actually quite hard to explain... you sort of say it when you're talking about something you enjoy doing, but that people generally will view as a little bit masochistic or unpleasent, as if it were some sort of retribution, but in a humerous way. It tends to be quite self-deprecating - something like "I work in a bank, for all my sins" or "I support Arsenal, for all my sins." My final year is so busy and full of hard work, I figure SOMEONE is out to punish me!
