I didn't realize we weren't friends. Thanks.
"Who is completely anything? " So true. If you have followed any of my posts where I give my background, you might have seen my family were Italian immigrants to the US and I was actually born in Italy and was three years old when my parents came to the US. Despite our differences in outlook Chava, please be my friend. I truly enjoy talking to you. You are a wonderful young lady.
Who is completely anything? The main social structure here is socialist, with a large focus on social welfare, free education for all, funding while studying, and over 60% in tax. Although this decrepid government has done all it can to undermine solidarity, but dear Virgil, lets not go there, I think we can both agree that there are things we just fundamentally disagree upon.
Hehe, are you really completely socialist? You don't have private property and business? Anyway, I think there are things to admire about everyone. Back to the other subject, even if you consider yourself internationalists (for lack of a better word), there is a sort of culture that has formed, or perhaps is forming, that considers itself internationalist and it seems to me that you take pride in that culture. There is nothing wrong with pride in one's identity, as long as it doesn't cross some boundary that for lack of a better word again I'll call a Napoleonic complex. Pride is a human emotion and culture is a human bonding experience. Obviously they cross each other.
I know that wasn't your point, i was just trying to point out that me to be discussing nationalism is strange, seeing as I really don't understand it, or have any background to give me national identity. Denmark, a good example? Come on now Virg, we're socialists in this part of the world!
Nothing is good enough. Sometimes people think I'm the teacher, sometimes they think I'm 15. Honestly...
Oh yes, now you look older than 20 in that one. I'd say you look 28 in this one. I guess we can average the two and get right to your correct age. I was only teasing you before on looking young.
Why thank you so much Chava. I've had a hard day at work today and you just made my evening. Thank you. I've always considered you so nice and this just reinforces it.
I just read your remarks in the Benjamin Button thread, and wanted to say, "The man says smart things" *points* but that seemed so un pro in a thread that i'll try and think of a more intellectual response. Anyway, my compliments, and I've changed the picture to a more recent one, where I hopefully look not quite so young. With just one pair of glasses. Cheerio
