Happy birthday buddy. Mazel toff! Many more
I don't want to influence the judging, so I'll thank you here Jer for that nice note on my entry to the Form Poetry contest. Thanks.
Oddly, there was no way to comment on "How Sweet It Is" or I'd have asked "What's sweet about it?" The chance to give a black eye to Obama? Yet another in a long string of Republican no's? What's the Republican alternative to the Health Care Plan? Or is it working as it should?
Just wanted to wish you and your family Jer a happy holiday
So sorry. It's been a flurry of activity here. I do subscribe to your blog & will go to read that poem now. Thanks for bringing it to my attention
I was hoping you would stop at my blog and comment on my poem Jer. Good or bad, please feel free to say what's on your mind. I'm never sure if I should post poems on the boards any more. I posted it, here: http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blog.php?b=9173.
So glad to hear that. It's always a severe disappointment to recommend a book or movie one's enthusiastic about only to hear that the person you suggesed it to thought it was ho-hum or even worse! Now, if I may push my luck, look for "Home" by Marilynne Robinson, whether or not you read the precursor to it, "Gilead," first.
Hey, Prince. Just finished Lavinia today. Thanks for recommending it to me. I thoroughly enjoyed.
Of course I think I'm the best practicioner of the kind of poems I write and at times I'm tempted to weigh myself against others I much admire, e.g. firefangled, ampoule, thefifthelement (and most assuredly not jon1jt) but I try as hard as I can to avoid going there.
No need to keep thanking me Prince. You're the best poet here and I always look forward to seeing your latest. It's actually my plaesure.
