Something tells me you actually know Spanish. I used to teach English as a Second Language, and one year I thought it was funny (OK, I still do) that whenever one of my students used the word "entonces" I would exclaim, "Mi gato!" I thought they all knew it was a joke. That was about ten years ago. Well, this year I had a student and it turns out he worked with a young man that I had at that time, and they wondered if my cat "Entonces" was still alive! I revealed the truth, that the cat was not actually named Entonces, and that the cat was dead. I don't know why, but I felt like the grinch when Cindy Lou Who appeared in the night. Happy Sunday, Sancho!
Sí, señora, hace mucho calor aquí, pero por lo menos es húmedo. Pero, entonces, no estoy diciendo nada, ¿verdad? Yep. It’s hot here, but at least it’s humid. But then, I ain’t telling you nothing, eh? We’re not Texas-Hot here.
Hey Sanch, hola! Deseo que tenga un buen verano! (ok, I got this off yahoo, but it still comes from the heart!) Have a good one, or a cold one, or whatever-is it getting hot there? Cause it sure is here.
Qimi! I haven't said 'hello' in a while, so I thought I'd swing on by and say, "Muy buenos dias, Senora."
Qimi, thanks for the blog link! I really enjoyed that.
