Claes, Better keep the boring aircraft talk between us here. First, thanks for sharing the great photos at the museum. My father logged a handful of "joy ride" hours in a P-51 that sat idle for the most part at one of the airfields he was stationed at in the Pacific. I believe I already mentioned his business plane was a P-38 Lightning. He also flew a little in a Bell P-39 Aircobra. Question: Is that a B-17 I see behind the Spitfire? Gilliatt
I posted them inte Pictures taken by you thread. Nice Memorial Day flight, btw. /Claes
I look forward to seeing the photos. If you get a chance, take a look at....oh heck, I'll just post it here. A little something for our memorial Day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOXlw3Qt_g8 Gilliatt
You are right Gilliat, it has been too long. Tell you what: I have found a couple of old aircraft pictures, I'll post as soon as I get around to scanning them. /Claes
Claes, It has been too long. I wanted to stop by and say hello. Gilliatt
Good to hear from you and I understand about the work load. Take your time to catch up on your life.
Hi there, and I am still around, but dear me... I have not been here for a while, have I? Sorry about that, but my work load has kept me rather busy... /Claes
Claes, If you are still out there my friend, then I wish you a merry Christmas and/or a happy holiday seaon. Gilliatt
Claes, Hope all is well, I wanted to remind you that the big weekend is here; the Alliance Airport Airshow. The Airshow will be held this weekend (October 24th and the 25th). My son and I plan to attend the show tomorrow. Here is a link to the Airshow: http://www.allianceairshow.com/Home.aspx I plan to have a camera with me and will share a few photos.
Claes, There are several air museums and air shows throughout Texas. The Alliance Air Show is coming up at the end ofOctober. It is in Ft. Worth Texas. For the most part the airshow consists of modern military aircraft and aerobatic acts. However, each year a few WW II era planes will arrive for static display. I will be sure to take photos this year and share. Gilliatt Signing off for now.
