  1. You're back?
  2. Ciao, take care.
  3. Then it would be my third passion, my first two are writing and ballroom dancing. Do you have a passion for anything Neil?
  4. The big 5-0... Wow. Go and watch the shakespeare play for your 50th, you'll love it I bet. Especially if you enjoyed reading his work. I did actually watch part of Macbeth (not sure if that is the correct spelling... Don't scold me if it isn't) at high school. But that was over 25 years ago... And the stupid teacher made us watch the ending. Not really sure why we weren't allowed to watch the rest of it, just the ending. (talk about ruining the whole story for us... I thought at the time)
  5. Funny you know, I have never read Shakespeare. One would think a writer, would want to have read at least one of shakespeare's work. What is your fav shakespeare play?
  6. No, I am just into a good read, not so much an author as such. It must be a page turner or I get all grumpy. Silly ha? But true. I don't fuss over authors. Not really.
  7. Funny you should mention about spreading the love around, I haven't really mentioned the book to anyone else but you... It never really came up. I might just do that. Funny how you tend to talk about a certain subject or book to certain people and not to others. It never crossed my mind and I have quite a few friends on my list.

Mind you I hardly speak to many my friends on the list. There are a few. One or two close people, like yourself, but they're not really chatty.
  8. Honestly Neil, not many books have excited me lately so I am pleased to have come across Splendid Suns. I do hope the next book, can live up to this one.

Do you still want to start a thread on it, after we have read it? (Or as we are reading it?)
  9. To be honest with you, I didn't even know Spendid Suns existed, until I got it as a gift. It really isn't my genre of read, but I have changed my mind this days... Just like a woman ha?
  10. Yes, I'll be into reading his next book, what ever it may be. I haven't read Kite Runner, but my friends have and they say its just as good. Well will see, might make that my next read.
