  1. Hi haunt, did you hear about Heathcliff, she was given an academic scholarship for her year 8 level at school in 2010. So am very excited. It has been such a sad year for me. I thnk I am entitled to be a little excited. When you get a chance, check out her blog.
  2. I believe. And by the way, don't get offended easily.
  3. Yes, blessed, very blessed. Am on such a high
  4. Yes, it was such a confidence booster for him... Ar, the lucky generation.
  5. Hey Haunt, am on such a high. Just got back from Andrew's comp. He wasn't competing, but doing his encore. His voice croaked a little but he made it, just the same. At the end of the eve, when everyone was leaving, the fellow running the local radio station asked if we could meet with him in a few weeks to discuss a possible recording of a single. And maybe do a few spot performances... Singing songs like the Aussie National Anthem. Or singing a song here and there at local fetes and functions. This is all very exciting. It's not a fancy stage and his not a child star yet, but it's a start. Have had such a bad year, this is music to my ears... Very happy tonight.
  6. Yes, will have to think about it. Have to run dear, but be back in a few hours. Thanks for the chat. Bye.
  7. Actually I like Bryan Adams. He is good.

I have always told Andrew that use your youth to practice singing. At least the Christmas break is coming up. He can relax a little while the voice comes through. My daughter was saying we should sign up to You Tube and get his song on there. But I don't know about it... Am a little sceptical about You Tube. Anyway we'll see. Will have to think about it.
  8. True, but he almost sounds like a donkey on the high notes. He claims he he has Rod Stewart's voice at the moment, maybe we should get him singing, his songs until his voice breaks in completely.
  9. Hey Haunt, want to hear something funny. Andrew is singing at the local idol tonight, but the poor dear's voice is in the middle of breaking and last night he practiced for tonight's performance and croaked twice during the song. He was told he has to sing this particular song, because that is what put him in 5th place. But he is struggling. We listened to some of the other songs he knows, but he hasn't perfected them. And as tonight is an encore night he has to sing 'Ben' by Michael Jackson. Poor dear. The only thing is, every time he croaks he laughs. Hopefully he doesn't do this on stage. We won't enter any more comps until his voice breaks completely now. Not sure how long that will take, but we'll just have to be patient.
  10. Thanks for the pic comments. I had a lot of fun in those days. Now I have a lot of fun reminiscing
