I have been having a pleasant and interesting conversation with a lady- ftil. I'm sure you have seen her on the threads. She reminds me a bit of you. Maybe you would like to meet her at some point. Thank you for asking, jersea. As of this moment I am still employed. Our district got enough people to leave with a $10,000 bonus that they are not going to have to lay anybody else off, for the moment anyway.
We just got our contracts- did you get yours yet? I know you mentioned there are lay-offs.
My mother gets sinus infections and they can be so debilitating. She can barely go to school to teach. Get better soon. I got laid off last year! Our reduced special education numbers no longer justified my position. Is it mainly support staff? 60,000? Vermont barely has that many people in the northern population (about 300,00 total state population). Can't imagine that they cut you- an experienced teacher. But you never know! Please keep me posted. Congratulations again.
