  1. Beautiful name!!! Good luck with your thesis, I'm sure it will turn out great!
  2. Oh, and they gave me this nickname. My name is Chiara.

  3. My greek friends taught me a lot of words, but the only ones I remember are the bad ones, cause they always say them
See you soon, now I must go back to my thesis and trying to finish it... :-S
  4. Not at all, kiaroula!!! Yes, we have many similarities, I've known many Italian people, I keep in touch with some of them that I met in university, and I love them!!
  5. Oh, how embarassing Amalia...
I think I confused your profile with someone else's profile, I thought u were living in America but u had greek and italian origins! sorry
I love greek people, they are so funny and so close to our mentality. I met many of them some years ago, one of them became my bestfriend
  6. Great to hear that you had no problems with the snow. Oh, I'm not from the US, I'm from Greece, I was born in Athens, and this is where I live now. We haven't had any snow so far (such a pity....), but thay say that we may- finally- see some during the last days of February.
  7. Ciao Amalia!
Sorry if I didn't write you before.
Yes, everything is ok... we had some wierd images from our biggest cities (Milan, Turin...) in the last months... they were all covered by snow, it's unusual!
Here where I live the snow didn't come, I am too close to the sea I think, but we had snow (and we still have) on the mountains right behind my area, it caused some problems but nothing bad, as far as I know.
Which part of the US are you from? How is the weather there now?Ahhh... such a beautiful place to visit ♥♥♥
  8. Hi, kiaroula!!!! Great to see you again!!! Is everything all right with the terrible cold?
  9. My grandmother combines both, I believe. She has been living in Greece, here, in Athens, since she was 19, as she married a Greek (my grandfather). Her mother was from Naples, her father from Turin, where she was born. My mother is always very proud- and I am too- to say that she is half- Italian, half- Greek. We have a few connections in Turin, and we have travelled there five- six times. Apart from Turin, I've been to Padova, Florence, and Ferrara. Sadly, I've yet to visit Milan or Rome. Hope I will some day. It was great to hear again from you, Kiaroula!!! I hope the new year has started in a wonderful way for you!!!
  10. Hi,
sorry for not writing you for so long, my connection wasn't working for more than a month! Happy new year anyway, even if I am late. I hope this year brings you beautiful things.
Where is your grandmother from, exactly? I live in the north, close to Austria and Slovenia, but I think that most of the people who moved from Italy to the US during the XX century was from the South of my country.
    xx
