  2. Dad is hospitalized

    I received a phone call from my mother today. She was calling to tell me that my dad went into the hospital today. He is bleeding internally.

    My dad is 79 years old. He has Alzheimer's. He was living with me when the first symptoms appeared. It started with him forgetting the rules of driving, like "red means stop" and making turns from the wrong lanes. By 1999, he was unable to navigate at all and had given up driving.   3. Blog. A Bugly bword.

    Today is November 30th. I just turned 54 yesterday and I hear that blogging is the most popular fad among young people these days. I'm up for trying anything (well, almost anything) once, so, although I don't know much about blogging, I thought I'd give it a whirl; see how long it spins.

    I'm not sure where the term "blog" came from. I suppose I could look it up on Wikipedia, but I'd rather try to figure it out. So, I'm thinking of all the reasons to put a "b" in ...

  4. The Plot...Thins?

    My girlfriend and I have officially parted after 1 year, 4 months, and 26 days. It was relatively painless, to my relief.

    A new problem introduces itself: can I prove my worth to the other young lady? She and I seem to share a mutual attraction and affection, and I am free to seek her, but there are further complications that cannot be ignored. Nothing for me to do now but care...and wait.
