  1. Shanghai

by , 01-06-2009 at 06:07 PM (Barmy Blue's Bland Blog)
We have just shanghaied a little Christmas tree from one of our neighbors, so I’ve decided to call it Shanghai, or Shang for short . It was outside a neighbor’s house, waiting for the rubbish collection. Mum told me about it and I knew she wanted to keep it so I insisted she show me this tree, even though it was freezing. I saw it and it was so small and cute and mum picked it up and we ran inside with it. It’s potted and has soil. It had two silver icicle decorations on it and was covered ...

If things don't work out or come off as expected the much put upon whiner believes compensation is their ...

  4. Hopelessly... in love.

When I saw Thomas at winter camp on the 22nd, I realized that I couldn't live without him. Next Wednesday will be sixth months since I first met him.I would not have survived these past six months without him. I told him so. I told him that I loved him, and couldn't live without him. He said that he decided the same about me. I asked if, during summer camp, he would have ever thought we would have this. He said yes, but that it was more hope than intuition. He said he'd had his eye on me since the ...

  5. A Plea for Passion

by , 01-04-2009 at 07:32 AM (Reflections on the puddle of life)
I’m not the kind to make resolutions; I don’t even believe in celebrating New Year, it’s just another day no different to the one before. For some reason it is a time when people reflect on the past and think about the future: the changes they will make, the weight they will lose, the money they will make. I come here now to make a plea to you: if you bring nothing else to your life in 2009 at least live it with passion. I don’t mean anger, that kind of passion is given too freely and too often, ...
