Losing a grip
On what's valued,
Imposing a quip
That has mellowed,
Pursing a lip
Dried and yellowed,
Is a gutteral
Vocal pretence,
A laterally
Vaunted expense
Of irrecoupable
Gnarled defense
And that intermittently
Tacit, free guile
Of a patently
Resalving exile
And the extantly
Seasoned smile
Changing rampantly
Its fee all the while.

Glory-Bound

A cloistered room
With a set of see-through curtains
Hugs the dawn
And what lies beyond.
A translucent image
Filtering through
Clear sheers
In prism-hued pebbles
Dancing up and down
On slats of bamboo blind.

Shattered by the light outer reaches
Spattered into crumbs
Of celestial vigilants.

Verdant shades

Every stem off o' the green
Breathes a dying breath away,
Every blade adrift and mean
Loses force at last of day.
What the stakes portend anew
Worries sooths and sayers all;
When our fondest hopes we sue
Our sole wish ebbs there where we fall.
