  1. Woohoo! Go on Ireland

by , 03-21-2009 at 04:50 PM (Away with the Fairies- The Travel Diary of an Irish WebFairy)
This is one six nations i will never forget. What a game we played today! It was intense and amazing.
After 61 years Ireland has finally won the grand slam! Unbelievable. in the last 30 seconds wales kicked a penalty. I was on my knees praying they'd miss. If they had achieved the penalty they would have won...but they missed!!
Congrats to the Irish Rugby team you did us proud today!

  2. Alcoholic inhibitions

by , 03-21-2009 at 10:53 AM (Poems, general writings, ravings, and other things.)
Innocence tossed away like your tank top
His words were sweet and convincing
    My alcoholic warnings
    Were not enough
    To change your mind
    As I walked out
    Leaving you
    With this sweet stranger
The morning wakes with a quiet moan
    Head pounding
    Sore beneath the sheets
    Beneath the belt
    Your innocence is forever lost
    As is my love
    For you,
    My love

    Why is anger so intense?

I have the pleasure of living with my best friend. We've been friends since the second grade, and I don't know how to get through my days without her. Needless to say, if anything ever happened to her, I would personally hunt down whoever had hurt or offended her and by the time I was done with them, they would regret being alive.

I have been absolutely furious all day today because of what happened to her last night, and quite frankly I could ...

  4. Love's Lament

    Quixotic dreams we dream
Weaving webs of love and sadness
Adrift in unimagined fields of fervor

    Resistance is futile,
    Though real;
    Real like the love which
sails the seas unrequited and wasted.

    The age of lyricism
    Abates and dissolves
    Into unspoken words;
    Unadorned with poetic pasts,
    corroded with impure verse,
    swollen with weighted time.

    Time is but a measure

  5. Romancing the Wisp

by , 03-20-2009 at 06:18 AM (Sipping the Tea)
So I was reading someone's poem earlier, about a Waltz- can't remember who wrote it now, but I'll find it - and it brought back a memory.

Once upon a time, in a City (Atlanta) far away (not really), there was a Ball.

It was a GREAT ball, even if it wasn't a real ball. It was in a ballroom, with a string quartet, and the tables were candlelit, the light was dim, the food was excellent, everyone looked beautiful in their gowns and suits...

    And there was ...
