  1. I hate my class and it hasn't even started yet

The new quarter hasen't even quite started yet and I already hate one of my classess. I was just reading the syllabus for it and one of the things we have to do for the class is interview three people of three different age groups. A child from 10-15 years old, an adult, which I think was like 25-50 and a senior 65+

First of all I have interveiwing people for obvious reasons. I don't like interacting with people, I don't want to have to get to know anyone and pry into thier bussiness

  2. Momentary glances

    by , 03-28-2009 at 03:50 AM (Silas Thorne's Journal)
With your distracted eyes on West
a monkey melds into your turning shadow
stealing its prize of soft-skinned fruit, your cheeks.

    Your static glances
fuddle my tongue to a babble
a stutter stream tango, eyes lingering
in the longing of your lipgloss circles.

I'm happy though with each time's death,
sweet mandarin can't lemon in a breath.

  3. Solace

    Solace

    Trapped behind these bars
with nothing to keep me company
but yellowed pages which I turn
with tender care, breathing in their scent
wondering at the places they have been
the places I will never have the chance
    to visit.

    Left in the half-light
    of shadows, only with these
reminders of a life upon the outside
a decaying leaf which was trapped
    between my pages, carefully pressed

  4. A bit lusty for wandering.

by , 03-28-2009 at 01:35 AM (Sipping the Tea)
Tomorrow, I could get on a plane and go to Ireland for 150 bucks. No kidding. There's a deal, I just found it.

It's times like these that I seriously considering shoving all of my tips and savings into a bag and jumping a ship, or a plane, and going to my places (Ireland being one of them).

Then I'd be running away. I may not see it as running away so much as running home, but then I'd be leaving so many of my responsibilities behind. It's so painful - if I died tomorrow, ...

  5. My rekindled love for the south

by , 03-28-2009 at 12:31 AM (Poems, general writings, ravings, and other things.)
First off, I was born and raised in colorado. And I have never lived anywhere else for more than maybe a month. I LOVE colorado. I love the snow, I love the cold, I love the mountains, I love everything about this state. (except maybe the yuppies from california that move here, and the hippies in boulder.)
But I have another secret lover.... the south.
My first trip to the south was to Tennessee. I went fishing there with my dad (as I do every year). I fell in love. The beauty, the ...
