So I bought a new phone service today. Due to my line of work, Im out in the hills with no signal when I need one. My previous service was absolute ****. 25,000 acres (in other words, a square of 6 1/2 miles by 6 1/2 miles), and 3 places where I got service. What the hell? Anywho, I changes service, and in turn, bought a new phone. I dont ask much when buying a phone. The dude selling it too me asked what I was looking for as a phone. I replied: one that makes calls would be nice. I dont need to ...

  2. The Eyeless

    The Eyeless

They came across a distant sea
    dark eyes watching me, vapid;
    they are me

    Stealing glances, glazed
    stares; they are me
as they wait in their dusty
    halls

    Seeming beyond the restraint
    tasteless and removed;
they are me, in their funeral
    clothes

    Painted faces that don't
mean a thing, only their eyes
    staring upward; they are me,
    with false steps

    I woke up this morning
    to the sleep-before words
of the Prince of the Apple Towns.
Awakening in the darkness of the day
to little birdsong in the world outside,
but inside golden firstlight fell upon me
    humming with peace and calm,
like winter's snowfall to the mind of crows.

There, through the crack in the curtain
the wet-hewed colours of dewgrass met morning,
reminding me of long lost hills
    that passed from your ...

  5. Waves, Chocolate & Pints of Bitter.

    The acid guitar
    sounds of an ancient vinyl
    long playing record

    irradiate through
    the information super-
    highway wi-fi hub

    and reproduce on
    the tiny speakers of my
    laptop computer.

    And I ponder on
times when I seemed more happy
    with some relative

    positivity
and glass half-full bloke kind of
    optimistic moods.

    But it isn't true
    because I
