    This ring, you have placed upon my finger, comes at the cost of knuckles scraping along the ground. What if grazed skin, bruised and bleeding is more than I'm willing to pay?

  3. Jack Kemp, R.I.P.

    Another passing. This time of Jack Kemp. Perhaps many don’t know who Jack Kemp was. He lived an incredible life, a football player, a congressman, a leader of the anti tax revolt of the late 1970s that led to the Reagan revolution, a Presidential candidate, and finally the Republican vice presidential candidate for Bob Dole in 1996.

  4. a bit irritated.

    I'm stuck at the library.

    This would be a good thing but for the fact that I've forbidden myself from borrowing any books from the library before I finish the three or four I've started. (NEED to finish at least Les Mis, In Defense of Poesy, and Notes from the Underground before I go to college!)

  5. Opium Experiences

    This was something of an experiment. I was just trying to kill time, and there were all these newspaper pages, and ads and such things scattered on a table, so I constrcutued a poem as a sort of word college. Scanning headlines, bold wriing, and such to pick out words that stuck out at me and complied the poem from those words, title included.
