  1. A Solider's Heart

I read in an article at the time of the civil war the term "soilder's heart" was coined to descibe the physchological pain suffered by many of the surviriors of the war. There was something about the phrase which struck me as profoundly beautiful, and I was inspired to write this for my dearly beloved who served in the Iraq war.

    A Solider's Heart

I see the pain in your eyes
    soundless depths
    more than words can say,
    and my soul quakes,

  2. Was it all just a dream?

by , 07-20-2009 at 01:17 PM (the ocean always dreamed blue dreams)

  4. Plight of the Shadow

    Whole as the blank window
That allows it to slip through
    A silhouette appears below
Ghe cord from which it grew.

The moonlight chuckles down in glee
    At the eerie sight
Of lovers flailing trysts to be
    In the travellng night.

One shadow to a hundred drifts
    In glistening mystery
    To solve the universe's shifts
    In virtual reverie.

The dance goes on, relentless, balks,
    Buckles at the shock ...

    4. A Desperate Search

With the return of Marbles the cat I hope peace is restored to Casa Mtpspur (little knowing the end of the day and its tragic loss to come though I had some foreknowledge of it and should have seen the very clear warning given this morning) as I have two projects to accomplish today.

The first involves showing up for a doctor's appointment I had to reschedule from last month when the IRS liened my wages to where I didn't have $50 for a blood ...
