  1. Preparing for departure

    I have briefly mentioned before that I am going to be getting ready to go on vacation, and now the time is coming closer, and my sister will be here this evening, so this week I may not be around as much as usual, so I thought I would let you all know now.

    I will be leaving on this coming Saturday, and I will be gone for a week, I am going up to Lake Tahoe, and will if anything noteworthy or of interest should occur while I am go you will hear about it on my return.

  2. Censor This ****

    As an artist, as well as a person who is just generally liberal minded and think most people are just over sensitive about things, I strongly loathe censorship most particularly censorship of artistic works, that chooses its use of words or imagery to make a particular point.

    I belong to a poetry forum where I post pretty much all of my poetic works, and generally they don't censor things. So called fowl language is permissible when used in a poetic sense and there are certain forums

  4. Classical music and movies and some other general rambles

    What is it about classical music that is so moving? Something beyond that which you find in pop or rock music, something that reaches deep into the soul, if there is such a thing.

    The BBC Proms are on TV at the moment. For the uninitiated this is a series of classical music concerts which are broadcast on BBC 2 and BBC Three and BBC radio.   5. Poked & prodded

    So I have spent the morning at the hospital getting poked, prodded, hooked up to machines and vial upon vial of blood taken.

    With the final result being:.............................
    I am perfectly healthy (ecept of course for my BP which is always a bit on the high side).
    They are putting the dizziness to dehydration and have warned me to make sure I drink plenty of fluids.

    so fit as a fiddle is me.
