I have to say, it is kind of a drag in someway's when my nieces are here, and I don't mean that quite as mean as it might sound, but everyone knows I am not a kid person, and I just don't "do" children.

I do like my nieces after my own fashion and in my own way get along with them, but I do have set boundaries when it comes to them. I am not the sort to get all gaga about them. One of them is 4 years old and the other almost a year, and I virtually never held either one ...

There's this claustrophobic feeling of panic that I get sometimes, it's like when I get stuck in a piece of clothing and want to tear and claw my way out. I feel like I get stuck in life and need to rip it to shreds, escape, so that I can breathe freely again.

I think it's the new job? City living? Or maybe the freedom and endless choices that I have in front of me. They're smothering me.

I'm drowning in possibilities

I am not a big reader of mysteries but I have been known to read a few in my time, I particularly prefer historical mysteries, but when I was in high school there was this mystery series I really enjoyed about a woman who wrote for a dog magazine and had a couple of malamutes she showed.

The thing that always gets my about mystery books though, the ones which feature a civilian protagonist, opposed to an actual detective, is how is it these people like once a week seem to find themselves ...

Anyone that knows me for any length of time eventually are puzzled by my methods of dealing with bad news. As a rule of thumb I deal with serious stuff quite well I believe (except in the area of overly zealous tax collectors) but small stuff drives me crazy.

The guttersnipes could never be sure what would set me off. Being a Christian made it even worse. Was I going to be a fiery prophet of doom ala Elijah or a weeping prophet of mercy like Jeremiah? Would it be the letter of ...
