I do hope this first month of the year is not just setting the tone for the rest. trouble and and sad news almost daily, at least weekly. broken car so we got ourselves another one and it didn't work today, I was getting in the car after work today was supposed to take my mom to the doctor and it didn't start! we bought it on Saturday I can't believe it. I had to call my mom and then walk home, I'm sick by the way, have been coughing all week and have a cold I can't get rid off. and it's colder ...

I got a call from a friend of mine a few weeks ago. He wasn't a close friend by any means, but we were acquainted and whatnot. Out of the blue he called me one day and said "I ripped out half the fence on the ranch and I have to have it put back up by January thirtieth. It should only take three or four full days."
I initially took five days off maximum, thinking I would be able to only have to put up with my boss for a week before she left for Texas. I ended up staying double ...
