  1. Poll? Korea or Japan?

    by , 08-30-2010 at 04:44 PM (My Blog...How original.)
I'm seriously thinking of learning abroad for my freshman or sophomore year in college.... (it depends on what i can get done in my last year of highschool.) and i have a toss up between Japan and South Korea. Most people are telling me to go to Japan, but i THINK i want to go to South Korea... Some people who argue for Japan say it's because Japan has more technological stuff and they think "rice fields" when they think of Korea. :P
    What do you think?

I listened to Garfunkel and w... all night. I also went over some old stuff, a lot is just crap at the moment but I might get it into better shape if I can keep it up. I read an article today in the New York Times Magazine about a language called Guugau Yimithirr. The people who speak this language rely on cardinal directions "to describe the position of objects." I am using it as a metaphor for one who is lost...perhaps for someone who has lost their moral compass and asked too much of another.

    Guugau Yimithirr

perhaps you lie north of my heart
but I cannot see or tell or find you
for the murky darkness obscuring ...

  4. Constitution Day

I’m not referring to the US constitution.

It’s ironic actually. As we try to bring a correction to what has been done to the US constitution with a glorious march in Washington yesterday, I’m stymied by the Kazakhstan holiday of its Constitution Day.

First the march on Washington yesterday. If it had not been for the adoption events, and then a wedding that came up for yesterday evening as well, I had intended to go and be there. Back in the spring my friend Joe ...

  5. A Gory Poem

by , 08-29-2010 at 03:07 PM (A Little Bit of Everything)
My poem entitled Gory. Warning: the title is not a misnomer (But it's not really a disgusting, creepy gory). :] A prayer to God....

    Dear Lord,
Take your scalpel in hand, cut in
    from nape to button-
    Peal back my skin,
    snap my ribs,
    push them back
    reach in,
    dig in,
    and pull out my heart...
but make this just the start.
    Take it
    and squeeze-
    squeeze until it beats
    to your rhythm-
    ...
