another friday night. I am sitting in the living room listening to the beatles and eating french fries. My boy went to his dad a few hours ago so me and spock are alone now. I am enjoying me alone time, and he is very happy to see his dad. things are really working out for me, at least right now. spock loves his new barf diet (yes I said barf) and I hope it will work out well for him. well I'm gonna get back to the beatles and then take murakami to bed.

I went to visit my mom the last week of July. When I got there, it was apparent she had lost ground and I was worried abut her being alone. My oldest son had been staying with her. I knew the time had come for my sister and I to talk to her about having some help.

When I first got there, Mom was able to get up by herself, but by the middle of the week she needed help. She was surprisingly agreeable to the idea of home health aides, and we interviewed one company while I was there. ...

I've long been fascinated with the medieval Spanish culture. Spain prior to the "Reconquista" of the whole of the peninsula from the Islamic rulers was one of the greatest cultures in the history of Europe. Their contributions to music, art, architecture, poetry, literature, philosophy, etc... still resonates today.

last night was not very good. didn't get much sleep. first my son woke up and told me a little over two that he was hungry and wanted to eat. We went into the kitchen and he got grapes and some juice. I went to bed but was listening to him, about 15 minuets later he put the rest of the grapes in the fridge and came to me and crawled into my bed and told me he was tired now. so we went to sleep. About 30 minuets later my dogs started howling a bit, he wanted to go outside. I tried to wait it out,sometimes ...

draws my attention
the air conditioner whirring
a bird outside rustling leaves
leaves so green
the carpet is green as well
it's very dirty carpet
perhaps someone should clean it?
who should?
the janitor?
I've heard he is crazy
yes...
