  1. Ye Olde Byogh Poste

A while back I read Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, and the edition of the book I have happens to be a modern English translation, which on the one hand was nice because I could just enjoy the stories without having to decode them first but on the other hand it kind of felt like "cheating" and as it happens one of the groups I belong to is going to be doing The Canterbury Tales, so I figured since I already understand the content of the stories so I would be able to actually follow what was ...

  2. Matthew and the Holidays

People have asked about Matthew and the holidays. I’ll try to fill you in, but I’ll have to be brief. First I’m not sure what I’ve already said, so this may be duplication in places. Second, I’m not sure I remember everything that’s happened. I turned 49 this past month, and my memory isn’t what it used to be. There certainly been a lot of holidays and events. He is a good god to remember as we start a new year.

I read somewhere that time exists only so that everyting doesn't happen at once. What a marvelous invention! I have always ...

  5. 2010/2011

by , 01-02-2011 at 09:40 AM (Reflections on the puddle of life)
I'm not really a fan of New Year's resolutions. I don't really do them. That being said, I've been thinking a lot about what I've achieved during 2010, and what I want to develop in 2011. So I'm making a note of it now, so that I don't forget and that when we're into July I can look back and see if I've achieved any of my goals.

    2010
2010 was a strange year. It seemed to go really quickly, and not a great deal seemed to happen. But still, these are my achievements from 2010: ...
