  1. Vonnegut's Game

    - from Cat's Cradle

And I remembered The Fourteenth Book of Bokonon, which I had read in its entirety the night before. The Fourteenth Book is entitled, "What Can a Thoughtful Man Hope for Mankind on Earth, Given the Experience of the Past Million Years?"

It doesn't take long to read The Fourteenth Book. It consists of one word and a period.

    This is it:

    "Nothing."

  2. The Awakening by Sonny Carroll

A time comes in your life when you finally get it...
When in the midst of all your fears and insanity you
stop dead in your tracks and somewhere, the voice
inside your head cries out - ENOUGH!

Enough fighting and crying, or struggling to hold on. And, like a child quieting down
after a blind tantrum, your sobs begin to subside, you shudder once or twice, you blink back
your tears and through a mantle of wet lashes, you begin to look at the

  3. Take Me There

Written as a response/counter to the poem Nevermore. They are both poems of a personal nature. Written about two different individuals. One from the past, one of the present/future.

    I caught your image
    within the firelight

    I trembled
    held unable to move
for fear to cause a ripple
in the air would break the

  4. Nevermore

    Nevermore

Why do you burn through me
    searing through my soul
    hot and cold
    relentless

    With no escape
    gasping for breath
    my mind starting to spin
    out of control

    By degrees
    breaking,
    what are you
    more than a figment
    less than a human
    a ghost
    not living
    nor dead

    But a constant
    a battle to be fought
    against only phantoms

  5. raise your hand if you like school!

by , 01-04-2011 at 04:41 AM (day in a life)
I love school, I love studying and getting good grades and working hard on subjects I like, and dislike, it's all a part of school. I am checking out if I can go to uni next fall but I won't know 'till later on so I might be taking 3 classes this semester if I won't hear anything from uni in the next 10 days or so. But I am happy no matter what happens cause it looks like I'll graduate soon.

I think my son is an old man stuck in the body of a four year old. he says things that kids ...
