today is a big day on the ice, it's Öskudagur (ashwednesday). Every kid dresses up in some costume and sing in stores for candy or something else. My boy went as Darth Vader, he got the costume a year ago but last Christmas his dad gave him a new mask with sound effects. I find myself strangely happy for a change. There's an overall feeling of contentment despite the fact that nothing's really changed since the time I may have felt depresses or just less content. Things are okay. Mum's oil draining procedure went well. Apparently they normally discuss the cataract removal by now as well but if the doctors didn't discuss it with her then there's got to be a reason.
