  1. Neil A. Armstrong, 1930-2012, RIP

He was one of my boyhood heroes. His very name rings with adventure, challenge, and achievement. Who can forget that Apollo 11 mission? With his passing goes the magic and glory of youth. I remember as an eight year old boy at my grandmother’s house with what must have been close to twenty family members sitting in front of a black and white TV. Here's a nice news clip.

There are some recent things that kind of **** me off at the moment. Mainly things I've heard on the news. So. In no particular order.

GCSE's. For the past few years about this time of year "officials" have been saying that exams are too easy and need to be harder because too many students are getting good grades. Um...yeah...how exactly is that a bad thing? It might not be to do with the exams. It could be the quality of teaching they've received or the studying they've ...

I just walked my son to school and now I am home, hoping he is still as happy as he was when I left him. He was very excited. I am in my kitchen waiting for my coffee to boil on the stove and listening to my favorite radio show. I'm gonna go to school later on to buy the rest of my books. I started reading Rousseau and I am enjoying it, he described his childhood in a very blunt and interesting way.

I wonder about this feeling of being unique. That is how he talks and he probably ...

Argh. It's too hot. My cousin's still touring Australia with her boyfriend. They say it's winter there at the moment and most locals are too cold when it's 30 degrees. Reason one for why I could never go to Australia. I'd melt. More precisely burn then melt. I was starting to wonder since it'd been 3 months since they updated their travel blog.

I hate the kind of weather we have at the moment. Naturally you'd think the hottest part of Summer would be midsummer. Oh well. On the plus ...

  5. One Shot to the Head

Dark Horse Comics tried to create a comics universe a few years back and one of the characters was simply named X and he had a series lasting 25 issues and some specials. One of them was titled: X-One Shot to the Head which reprinted some earlier stories that weren't in his regular book.

Yes I'm setting up the scene.

There is a grim reason for the above title.

I considered What Cost Glory? or perhaps -again grimly--The Price of Fear. If you are disturbed ...
