I hate to write an angry blog. I have so many ideas for positive blogs just waiting to be written (Walt Whitman’s poetry, the great baseball season the Baltimore Orioles had this year, coping with Matthew’s terrible twos, etc.) but time and laziness has prevented me from writing them. Some of you may recall I while back I did a post talking about the Atlas Shrugged movie when it had recently come out in theaters, and because of the stigma against Ayn Rand the movie was taking a lot of negative heat and being boycotted, or just slammed in reviews. War and Peace was far from being a joyful entralling read. I felt Tolstoy wastrying to cover too much ground and many of the characters were given short sceneswithout depth just to push the story along which in itself lacked cohesion.
