Tis the season to be joy, Fa la la la ~ la la la la.

At this time of year many of us are in a giving mood, generous and want to believe that everyone is out to do well. I wonder. Perhaps I am just skeptical.

So. What have I done today?

Not much.

Helped mum put some baubles on the ceiling for her Christmas vision. We can't find the regular hanging decorations. How annoying.

I wrapped some more tinsel around the rest of the banisters.

I just finished making the second paper chain and taping it together for security. Now my scissors are all sticky again.

I read this American classic novel for the first time earlier this month, and all I want to say is wow! Where has this book been all my life? Actually it was just under my nose. I remembered it being on the recommended reading list in college, but somehow it never made any class reads. I distinctly remember one particular undergrad professor (oh what was his name?—he was one of my favorites) mentioning it, specifically referring to how a death of a major character part way into the work shapes ...

I thought there was an unmarked window between today and yesterday and wasn't sure what to do about it. In case there was a sweet behind it I figured I'd save it for Christmas day as a kind of bonus.
