by , 10-15-2013 at 03:50 AM (Life in a small town.)
The new pup, Gwen, has arrived. The house is a tip and has a slightly unpleasent fragrance, we are tired due to the howling in the night. However, I think it is important that she lives in the house for a week or two so she knows she belongs.

I can just about get the sheep jobs done with Meg but she'll only ever be a stop gap and then a yard dog - I just can't trust her - she sets off to round up some sheep and I can't be sure she'll come back -or stop when she needs to. She won't ...

  2. Simple and Effective Criminal Punishment

by , 10-14-2013 at 02:03 PM (Memories of the 28th Century)
There were good reasons why the adage “spare the rod and spoil the child” has been in use for so long. In isn’t the act of hitting that instills decent behavior; it is the matter of receiving prompt and appropriate punishment. Even those who have been conditioned by their genetic heritage can be amended to some degree, if the treatment is prompt and appropriate. by , 10-12-2013 at 03:43 PM (Memories of the 28th Century)

If that’s the kind of respect that Columbus gets these days, then he probably would agree that there should not be a holiday for him, even though that’s one of better reasons for a holiday.

If we go back to the beginning, I don’t think that anyone has determined whether demand for ...

  5. Peace, Love and Stability in Marriage - Piousness

by , 10-10-2013 at 06:09 AM (The Promised Revival -- To Bring Faith Back Even If It Had Gone To Pleiades (i.e. weakened).)
Peace be on you....Righteousness (avoiding forbidden and doing what is allowed) is the most important aspect sought in marriage in Islam. When it is overlooked and other aspects like wealth, name or beauty are given the priority, cracks start to appear in this relation.

Check-less freedom also play its role in destroying relations.

Virtues should be continued and next generation should be pious. Allah says: “And let every soul look to what ...
