22 November 1980 has arrived at last. Important to me for finally getting married at the past ripe age of 29 to a 21 year old. As important as this day was for me the day PRIOR is a major date in televison history and is of enormous importance to the televison viewing audience of the day. The truth may now be told of my after wedding rehearsal activities. Since leaving the Civil Engineering Squadron for the 905th Air Refueling I was allowed to maintain my room in the dormitory ...
Okay. So I should’ve done this three days ago. Friday. I bought Tom the second book in the series I got him for his birthday. He’s not keen on it, I can tell, but I’m passed caring. I did the odd spot of tidying. I wanted the house, and myself to simply scream “I am better than you”. Both need a little more work before that is effectively said though, but I don’t mind. Saturday. Well I'm back up in Deadhorse. My days off were uneventful. The highlight being the opening night of "Fiddler On The Roof" at the local theatre. Very impressed with the talent, Tevyia was hilarious and very well acted as well. To the subject matter. I'm standing by to go out on a flight to the middle of nowhere. The small plane that takes supplies out only goes out when material is requested, because of the high costs to fly out there. Anyways, its 45 below here ...
After the latest debacle over dress shopping Laurie M. intervened on Ruth's behalf to plead her case to Vanessa. This was almost the only time I ever observed Laurie NOT succeed at bringing home the prodigal sheep. It took Ruth whining to Steve who then got Vanessa to lighten up a bit and get going on the shopping spree which is finally accomplished. In fairness to Vanesa she is actually a very sweet but clueless lady when the needs and desires of others are at cross angles ...
