  1. More Than I Can Chew

by , 04-25-2007 at 03:42 PM (Shannanigan's Search for More...)
I've come to the sudden realization that we all have different capabilities and levels of stress that we can handle...and I think I overestimated myself when I registered for six courses this semester.

Now, this is actually kind of funny for me. A full load of courses here is 12 credits, which comes out to about four classes. I usually take 16 credits, which adds up to abour 5 classes and a PE, since I love to stay active.

I estimated the magnitude just from what I saw, clocked in the time, and even reported it. I did have to wait for the USGS to post it on their website before I posted it, as I have never felt one before. Oh well, nothing big to anyone else, but I get a rush. Now I ...

  4. Congratulate me plz.

I did a persuasive speech today in my speech class on homeschooling and I got an A. My professor even told me afterward that I had done well and that he liked my enthusiasm. As I've taken speech before, I know that I do persuasives well - when my topic is something I thoroughly believe in and can get carried away with. Of course, this was such a topic, as you ( ) know. Surprisingly, the Q & A time didn't get very heated. I felt really complimented when someone in the class told me that ...

  5. Eye of the beholder

What is the power of physical beauty? Is it purely an aesthetic issue...does someone posses a definable quality of beauty or is it something more subjective? Man one may prefer brunettes and woman five may prefer green eyes, so personal preferences can safely be defined as subjective, I think.

There has been research into the field. Yes, you may well scoff (if you are, in fact, scoffing... ) but the research suggests an evolutionary preference for attractiveness. Harvard Medical ...
