I noticed that Lit Net has a number of Wodehouse texts available. I have mostly stuck to Jeeves and Wooster; also a bit of Psmith. This title caught my eye: Jill the Reckless. Reading has always (well, almost always ) been both a comfort and an escape for me. When I am feeling blue, it is just nice to be able to read something and feel cheered up by it. There is a spelling bee for homeschoolers coming up this Saturday. My sister is going to be competing while I chose not to. But it was hard to decide that. Why? Without meaning to sound vain, I'm a good speller thanks to the books I've read and I'm already familiar with the words on the list to memorize, so I don't need to study. But I didn't feel that was fair to the others who are competing and had to work so hard to know the words, to have a teenager come in and do well with a minimum of studying. ...
