  1. strained?

by , 05-09-2007 at 09:08 AM (Barmy Blue's Bland Blog)
Well, I think I did strain my hand using that ****ty space bar. Seriously, this school should come with a warning. My hand still aches a bit now but it could’ve been worse, it’s probably not even a strain anyway, just an ache. I’m using a better space bar today, though I’m trying to mind my hand when I get a twinge. I’ve finally taken a trip back to Narnia, yesterday I continued reading from where I left off, and not a moment too soon I say, because I’ve got another two books to read after this ...

  2. my apologies

Lately I've been realizing that so much of what I say here on the LitNet can be viewed as offensive, insulting, or critical. I told my Mom about it and she said that it's because I have no line between reality and my fiction world. Here on the LitNet I talk rather old-fashionedly because here everyone's bookish. 4. Dad...

A few weeks ago, my father was at the doctor's office and it was found that he had some malignant spots on his face. So, a week ago he had them removed. It wasn't surgery, the malignancies were removed under local anesthetic in the office. One of them was a bit deeper rooted then they expected, but they were able to cut it away.

It is terribly disconcerting because my father is 78. My mother died several years ago of cancer and ours is not a big family. When my father goes, that leaves ...

  5. Man About Town

What does an earthboar do, when not reading? Believe it or not, I'm "out there," as they say. This past Friday (May 4th) I spent an afternoon in a brand new "Net Zero" house, full of photovoltaic and solar-thermal panels, computers, krypton filled windows, and, oh yeah, a Congressman and a Department of Energy officer. That evening I watched the 1963 film Lord of the Flies with director of photography Gerry Feil, who answered questions about the film afterwards.
